Gina Warren Abston, MS, BCBA

Clinical Director, Lafayette

My name is Gina Warren Abston, and I am delighted to be the Clinical Director of Piece By Piece ABA Therapy Center!  I began my graduate degree in Behavior Analysis & Therapy in 1997 and became a BCBA in 2003.  The main focus of my career has been in the areas of early intervention, parent training, staff training, and autism.  I became a parent in 2005, giving birth to a little boy born prematurely, and who was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy and autism.  I recognized that unlike most parents, I was incredibly fortunate to have my educational and professional experience to help me navigate the waters of raising a child with special needs.  My life’s work has been devoted to helping families throughout this process and supporting them in the best way possible.

When not at work, I can be found in a household of boys, cats and a gigantic German Shepherd.   Between the never-ending piles of laundry, dishes and pet fur, I greatly enjoy reading, music, baking, card games, board games, skee ball, POUND group fitness classes, and binge-watching Netflix!

And I love how every day is new and different. It is an absolute honor to be a part of their journey and to watch them achieve such wonderful things!

Prior to my work in ABA, I worked as a leader, assistant, and art instructor at my church's summer camp. It was there that I learned that I had a nack for working with kids and loved their energy and excitement. In addition to that, I tutored academic skills and music and baby-sat throughout the years.

In my free time I love to do art and play instruments. I have a cat named Gerald and she is purr-fect. My ultimate goal is to pursue a degree in Music/Art Therapies.

I graduated from Purdue University in 2006 with a Child Development Family Studies Degree. I have always enjoyed seeing people find pride in their accomplishments. Their accomplishments make me want to work even harder.

I have worked in a wide range of settings as a Case Manager for a total of 14 years and have found that working with children is what makes me happy. I started out working as a School Based Case Manager and soon after that worked in a residential setting with children of all ages. I ventured back and forth between different professions but always came back to working with the younger generation.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family. I have three children 10, 8 and a one year old baby boy who has pulled on all of our heart strings. My family and I like to stay active being outside as much possible. I can’t wait to grow with Piece by Piece and learn from each child who attends!

Craig Schwipps, RBT

ABA Therapist, Lafayette

Have you ever seen someone that looks like an adult but is clearly not? That would be me. No one has ever qualified me as a "grown up" because I am still a kid at heart. I love video games, building LEGO sets, and watching Disney movies/ cartoons. But more than this, I love working with kids. I first became an RBT in 2017 at the suggestion of my best friend, and have never looked back since. It's in my nature to be a goofball and it has helped me immensely in the field of ABA, bonding with kids and seeing them grow and progress to new heights. I am a proud graduate of DePauw University, even prouder to be married to the most beautiful woman on the planet, and can be found binge watching The Office with my wife, two dogs and cat any given weekend.
